Kids writing class in Toronto

For those in the Toronto area, I wanted to mention that I’m going to be leading a writing workshop for kids aged 9 to 12 on Saturday afternoons in May. The workshop is free, and will take place at the St. James Town branch of the Toronto Public Library, near Sherbourne and Wellesley. I’m going to be taking the participants through all the stages of writing a story, from brainstorming to drafting to revisions, and they’ll end the class with a printed “anthology” of their collected work. 🙂

If you know any kids that age who’d be interested, or their parents, please pass the info on!

    • I don’t have one scheduled at the moment (I was asked to do this one by the library), but I’d be happy to do another workshop in the future. I’ll definitely post about it here if that happens!

  1. I have a VERY reluctant 10 year old boy writer who needs to jump this hurdle in a big way. Do you ever do workshops with reluctant kid writers or know where I could find one? He needs a good workshop and set of classes.

Thanks in advance if you have anything to offer.

    • Right now I don’t have any workshops scheduled, but I know there are others being offered through the Toronto Public Library. Take a look at their site–there might be something applicable!
