After all, I was already a huge fan of her first novel, the contemporary southern ghost story <i>Shadowed Summer<\/i>, which has all of the above in spades:<\/p>\n<p><center><img src=\"http:\/\/www.megancrewe.com\/blogpics\/shadowedsummer.jpg\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>To celebrate <i>The Vespertine<\/i>&#8216;s release, I&#8217;d like to give anyone who hasn&#8217;t yet a chance to read both of these fine books.
