Madigan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I mentioned my fellow writer and 2009 Deb L.K. Madigan <a href=\"http:\/\/www.megancrewe.com\/blog\/?p=1072\">last month<\/a>, because we were doing a giveaway to support her books in light of her sudden illness.  Yesterday, we got the very sad and difficult to accept news that Lisa has passed on.  <\/p>\n<p>I am tearing up as I write this because it <i>is<\/i> so difficult to accept.  It happened so quickly, and I kept hoping that things would turn around for her and she would conquer this cancer as she was able to with another <a href=\"http:\/\/lkmadigan.livejournal.com\/185246.html\">20 years ago<\/a>.  I never got to meet Lisa in person, but we talked frequently through the Debs blog and exchanged critiques on a couple of our novels.  I am so grateful for having gotten to know her, and to receive her thoughtful advice and enjoy her wonderful sense of humor, and I wish so very very much that we could have known each other longer.<\/p>\n<p>You are missed, Lisa.<\/p>\n<p><center><img src=\"http:\/\/www.megancrewe.com\/blogpics\/lisaheadshot.jpg\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Kate Messner <a href=\"http:\/\/kmessner.livejournal.com\/187801.html\">expresses the power of Lisa&#8217;s words<\/a> far more eloquently than I could, and her agent, Jennifer Laughran, has posted <a href=\"http:\/\/literaticat.blogspot.com\/2011\/02\/very-sad-day.html\">a moving tribute<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For those who still wish they could help, April Henry offers <a href=\"http:\/\/aprilhenry.livejournal.com\/892907.html\">details about the trust set up for Lisa&#8217;s son<\/a>.
