Re-read that is.  There are so many new books I want to check out that it&#8217;s hard to find time to go back to old favorites.  But reading it reminded me of what a wonderful feeling it can be to immerse yourself in a familiar world and experience a story you know you love over again.<\/p>\n<p>Just as there are comfort foods, I&#8217;m sure most avid readers have comfort reads: books you go back to when you&#8217;re down or out of sorts.  Mine tend to be humorous novels&#8211;<i>The Princess Bride<\/i> and <i>The Hitchhiker&#8217;s Guide to the Galaxy<\/i> are my standbys.  <\/p>\n<p><center><img src=\"http:\/\/content-5.powells.com\/cover?isbn=9780345418265\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<img src=\"http:\/\/content-7.powells.com\/cover?isbn=9780345453747\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>As a kid I read my all-time favorite novel, Zilpha Keatley Snyder&#8217;s <i>The Changeling<\/i> about a million times, because I so wanted to be part of that world, and when I was reading it I sort of was for a little while.
