WOW! everything looks so delisious! i think we all know everyone gives into temptation and eats the sweets! That strawberry pie looks amazing! The choclate cake looks even better though! this contest is an amazing way to show that everyone has a reading comfort sweet! Even if we know well regret it later later, the sweets are worth it.

Awesome interview Megan.
I'm a little sad that the contest isn't for international followers. I want so much to read Give up the Ghost and till I'll get a credit card, I have no chance to buy it.

(Or, I guess you could say it was what solidified my desire to become a writer. Before I read HOMECOMING I was already writing stories, trying to find my way.)

I know for a fact it was HOMECOMING by Cynthia Voigt that really inspired me to become a writer. It was so beautiful, so ugly, so real. It felt like a "grown-up" book yet it was written for me. I think I first read it in fifth grade.

I know I write today, due to the encouragement of my grade 9 English teacher, Mr. Walter Thurtell. Mr. Thurtell was the first to acknowledge I had any talent, thus, vindicating my passion, and the first to help me see it was worth pursuing.

I feel the same way! I was *always* wanting to tell stories, and I remember having to ask my mom how to spell every single word because I didn't know how to read yet. There were definitely books I LOVED over the years, but I was in love with storytelling way before those books came around.

This is a really unique contest. Love the concept, though I can't decide if the baked goods or the books sound more appealing... though I suppose if I'm baking, the books are more appealing.
