You know how I mentioned last week that The Way We Fall ARCs were on their way? Well, they arrived even sooner than I imagined!
I opened the package, eager to hold my book as an actual book for the first time, and squeed over the (not yet final, but still awesome) cover:
After a period of squeeing and petting this awesomeness, my husband, who had immediately absconded with the other copy, said, “Have you looked at the inside yet?” I hadn’t. So I flipped open the cover, and squeed some more:
How much do I love that title page? Very very much. As I was telling my husband so, he noted that I hadn’t seen everything yet. So I turned the title page over:
It is hard to see, but the back of the title page has this really cool after-image effect on it. Hey, I thought, I wonder what they did with my section titles. (The book doesn’t have chapters. It’s divided into many journal entries, which are split between three sections.) I paged a little further in, and discovered this:
Cue even more squeeing and book-petting. Is that not lovely? I think it is lovely. And I am so, so excited for when you all will finally get to see this book and its awesomeness, inside and out, in person. January 24! Less than eight months now!
Not that I’m counting or anything…

Ahh, congratulations!! That is so cool. I love the way they’ve printed the title page too. Seeing your ARC’s has made me, if possible, even MORE excited to get my grubby paws on a copy 😀

It’s awesome. I can’t believe you already have The Way We Fall ARCs. It looks so good. I hope that this book will be published in Romania too because I just love the way it looks and I’m excited to read it.
Megan, have you thought at a sequel for Give up the Ghost?? I would love to read a love story between Cass and Tim. In my mind, in the end of the story, Cass and Tim are more than just friends.
I hope The Way We Fall will be picked up in Romania too–fingers crossed!
I have thought about a sequel to GHOST, quite a bit. The problem is that I don’t feel I have enough story to tell to fill an entire book. And I don’t want to write a book that’s going to be disappointing compared to the first one. I can tell you that I see Tim and Cass getting together romantically not too long after the events in GHOST. 🙂

I have awesome news.
I just talked with some persons from Leda (the house publishing that translated Give Up The Ghost and published it in Romania) and they told me that Ghost has sold very good and it’s very possible that they will buy the rights for The Way We Fall. I believe it’s amazing and I can’t wait till your new book will be published in Romania too, even if this will be possible only in 2012. Waiting sucks…
