Mini Contest

I’m hard at work on the sequel to THE WAY WE FALL, and I’ve come to a scene where the characters are discussing two bands. I don’t want to use actual bands, since that will date it, so I need made-up names. And I thought it’d be fun to give my blog readers a chance to be a part of the book!

So, this is how it works. Suggest one or more names that you think would fit a band older teen boys would like. Something alternative, rock, or maybe electronica sounding. I’ll pick my favorite two names, and yours could end up in the book! Pending, of course, editorial approval.

Ready, set, go: name those bands!

(Open until this time next week.)

  5. Have you seen the “Band Name” Generator game going around facebook? Pretty random way to come up with a name. I’ve seen some great ones out there.

‎1 – Go to wikipedia and hit random. The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2 – Go to quotationspage.com and hit random. The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
3 – Go to flickr.com and click on “explore the last seven days”. Third picture no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4 – Use photoshop or similar (picnik.com is a free online photo editor) to put it all together.
5 – Post it with this text in the “caption” and TAG the friends you want to join in
